Win-back and re-engagement campaigns

Campaigns are the automated half of client outreach. Where a broadcast is one message you send once, a campaign keeps running — win-back and re-engagement outreach that happens without you starting it each time.

Campaigns live on their own page in the dashboard.

Check the run history before you change anything

The first thing to look at isn't the campaign settings — it's what the campaign has actually been doing. For each campaign you can see whether it's active and how its recent runs went.

This matters because a campaign that's been quietly running has already contacted people. Turning it on, editing its content, or hitting Run Now without knowing what went out last week is how clients end up getting the same message twice in a fortnight. Ask Becky for a campaign overview and she'll report the active status and the recent run outcomes.

Run Now contacts real people

Run Now can contact a lot of clients at once. So can flipping a campaign from off to on. That's why every campaign change — enabling, disabling, editing, running — stays with you on the campaign page.

Becky will read the campaign state and explain it. She will not run a campaign, toggle automatic sending, or tell you messages went out. If she ever says a campaign was sent, that's wrong; check the run history on the page for the truth.

Choosing between a campaign and a broadcast

  • Something happened and people need to know → broadcast.
  • You want lapsed clients nudged continuously, without you remembering to do it → campaign.
  • You want to check in with one specific person → the nudge queue or a one-off text.

Common questions

A campaign is on but nothing seems to have gone out. Check the recent run outcomes on the campaign page — a run that found nobody matching the campaign's audience is a normal, successful, silent run.

Can I stop a campaign mid-flight? Disable it on the campaign page. Messages already sent can't be recalled, so check the run history to see what's gone.
